Defibrillator For Birchover

We are currently raising money in conjunction with The Community Heartbeat Trust in order to maintain a defibrillator in the heart of Birchover. We need to raise funds to re-stock the equipment and buy a new battery after it was deployed this summer. Birchover Brewery

Birchover Brewery is now fully functional!

Matteo is currently producing our wonderful 'Bircher Best' on a regular basis on site. Bircher Best (3.9% abv) is a traditional amber ale produced using 100% British malt and hops and can only currently be purchased from The Red Lion Birchover.

In addition to Bircher Best, we brew Cork Stone (4.5%), Nine Ladies (4.2%), Robin Hood's Stride IPA (5%), Kingstone white stout (5.8%) & Zira - doubled hopped American IPA (5.5%).

Women and real ale research

For Matteo's final year at university, he has completed a dissertation on the subject of women and real ale/artisan beers. We would like to offer our thanks to those women who completed our questionnaire regarding why women generally prefer not to drink real ale.
